Specialist in supporting people with health conditions, stress, burnout, and feeling stuck.

When something doesn’t feel right anymore, even if you can’t explain why, it can start to affect everything.

I help people who feel stuck, burnt out, or impacted by health challenges move forward, feel more like themselves again, and build a way of living that actually works for them.

Alongside my private practice, I work within NHS clinical health services.

It’s Not Always Just About the Condition

Many people I work with come to me because of a long-term health condition.

But often, what they’re struggling with goes beyond that.

Over time, challenges with health, stress, or life circumstances can begin to affect your motivation, confidence, habits, and sense of direction.

You might not have a specific diagnosis, but you know something doesn’t feel right.

Whether you're living with a health condition, or simply want to feel better in yourself and your life, the patterns underneath are often similar, and they can be understood and changed.

That’s why I offer two ways to work together, depending on what feels most relevant to you.

How Can I Help You?

You don’t need to have everything figured out.

Choose the option that feels most like you right now.

You may be living with a condition that’s affecting far more than your physical health.

It can impact your mood, confidence, identity, and day-to-day life.

You might be:

  • Adjusting to a recent diagnosis

  • Managing ongoing symptoms like pain or fatigue

  • Feeling anxious about your health

  • Struggling with low mood or loss of motivation

  • Finding it difficult to maintain routines or lifestyle changes

I offer psychological support to help you adjust, cope, and regain a sense of control.

Living with a Health Condition

Feeling Stuck, Burnt Out, or Off Track

You may be functioning on the surface, but underneath, something doesn’t feel right.

You might be:

  • Feeling exhausted, even when you rest

  • Lacking direction or motivation

  • Struggling to follow through with changes you want to make

  • Feeling disconnected from yourself or your usual way of being

  • Stuck in patterns you can’t seem to shift

I help you understand what’s keeping you stuck and move forward in a realistic, sustainable way.

Welcome to My Health Psychology Practice

Managing a long-term health condition can be overwhelming, both physically and emotionally. At my practice, I specialise in providing compassionate psychological support to help you navigate the challenges that come with chronic illness, pain, and a myriad of other long-term health conditions. My goal is to empower you to live a fulfilling life, despite the obstacles you may face.

In addition to my private practice, I work within the NHS at Salford Royal Hospital in Greater Manchester, where I’m part of the Clinical Health Psychology Department. Here, I run clinics dedicated to helping patients manage the psychological impact of long-term health conditions. My approach is rooted in evidence-based therapies, tailored to meet your unique needs. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, or adjusting to a new diagnosis, I’m here to help you build resilience and find hope.

Why Things Can Start to Feel Harder

Things don’t usually fall apart all at once.

More often, they shift gradually, through changes in your health, stress, responsibilities, or life circumstances, until it starts to affect how you think, feel, and respond day to day.

You might notice that:

  • You feel more tired, overwhelmed, or mentally drained

  • Your motivation drops, even for things that used to matter

  • You find yourself stuck in patterns that are hard to change

  • Your confidence or sense of control begins to slip

  • Small things start to feel harder than they should

This isn’t a sign that something is wrong with you.

These experiences are often the result of understandable psychological and behavioural patterns that develop in response to what you’re dealing with.

Left unaddressed, these patterns can keep you stuck. But with the right support, they can be understood and gradually changed.

You don’t have to figure this out on your own.

How I Work

My approach is practical, collaborative, and focused on helping you move forward in a way that actually works in your life.

We start by understanding your situation, what’s keeping you stuck, and what will genuinely help you move forward.

The work is grounded in evidence-based approaches, but always adapted to your needs, your pace, and your goals.

Understanding what is going on

We start by building a clear picture of what you’re dealing with, including your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and the context around you.

This helps us identify the patterns that may be keeping things difficult.

Making realistic, sustainable changes

Together, we focus on small, practical changes that fit into your life, not unrealistic plans that are hard to maintain.

The aim is to build momentum in a way that feels manageable and meaningful.

Working with thoughts and emotions

We explore how your thinking patterns and emotional responses are affecting you, and develop more helpful ways of responding.

This might include approaches drawn from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and related models.

Building resilience and flexibility

We work on strengthening your ability to respond to challenges, rather than feeling overwhelmed or stuck.

This includes developing psychological flexibility, self-awareness, and confidence in how you handle difficulties.

The focus is always on helping you move forward in a way that feels realistic, sustainable, and aligned with what matters to you.

Individual Therapy

A confidential, one-to-one space to explore what you’re dealing with and begin making sense of it.

We focus on understanding what’s going on, what’s keeping things difficult, and how you can begin to move forward in a way that feels realistic and sustainable.

This can include:

  • Adjusting to a health condition or diagnosis

  • Managing stress, anxiety, or low mood

  • Overcoming burnout or feeling stuck

  • Building sustainable habits and routines

  • Regaining direction, control, and confidence

Sessions are tailored to you, your needs, your pace, and what matters most in your life.

If this feels relevant to you, we can start with a short, no-pressure conversation.

If something doesn’t feel right, you don’t have to figure it out on your own.

Book a free 15-minute consultation and we’ll talk through what’s going on and what the right next step might look like for you.
