Terms and Conditions
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is a fundamental principle in psychological practice. At Bryce Psychology Services Ltd, we prioritise your privacy and ensure that all discussions with your therapist remain confidential. All records are securely maintained and used solely for therapeutic purposes. Further details on data handling can be found in our Privacy Policy.
Information remains confidential unless there is an agreement between you and your therapist to discuss matters with a third party, in which case written consent will be obtained. Exceptions to confidentiality include:
If your therapist has reason to believe that your life or someone else’s life is at immediate risk;
If disclosure is required by law, including safeguarding concerns regarding children or vulnerable adults;
If the therapist is required to provide information as part of a legal process.
Wherever possible, any necessary disclosures will be discussed with you in advance.
Your therapist may also engage in supervision discussions with professional peers to maintain high standards of clinical care. These discussions adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines, and your identity will not be disclosed.
We cannot be held responsible for breaches of confidentiality caused by software or platform failures beyond our control. In the event of a data protection breach, we will notify you and the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) within 72 hours and take appropriate action to resolve the issue.
Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
Bryce Psychology Services Ltd values and respects diversity. We do not tolerate discrimination based on age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, race, nationality, disability, heritage, or political beliefs. Our practice is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all clients.
Appointments
Therapy sessions typically last 50 minutes for individual clients. Sessions may be conducted via video call or telephone. If technical difficulties arise due to internet or mobile service disruptions, alternative communication methods (e.g., switching platforms, using a different phone line) will be explored to minimise disruption.
Cancellations & Missed Sessions
We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. However, to ensure efficient scheduling, we require a minimum of 72 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. If you cancel with less than 72 hours’ notice, a cancellation fee of 50% of the session cost will apply. Missed appointments without prior notice will be charged at the full session rate.
Where possible, we will provide advance notice for therapist leave or necessary cancellations.
Payment Terms
All sessions must be paid for in advance to confirm a booking. Payments can be made via bank transfer, card payment, or insurance coverage where applicable. If payment is not received within 24 hours of booking, the session may be cancelled.
Clients using insurance for session payments are ultimately responsible for ensuring coverage. If an insurer declines payment for any reason, the client will be liable for the session fee. Invoices are issued within 7 days for completed sessions.
Additional services, including psychological assessments, report writing, and home visits, are available upon request and will incur separate charges. Please contact us for detailed pricing on these services.
Concerns & Complaints
We strive to provide a high-quality therapeutic experience. If you have any concerns about the service received, we encourage you to raise them directly with your therapist in the first instance. If issues remain unresolved, you may file a formal complaint with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or The British Psychological Society (BPS) for further resolution.
